Dear Sir or Madam,
We warmly invite you to the 6th interdisciplinary Doctoral Student Seminar of the German Working Group for Analytical Spectroscopy (Deutscher Arbeitskreis für Analytische Spektroskopie “DAAS”).
The Doctoral Student Seminar will take place online on the 20th and 21st September 2021.
The event will be organized online for the first time by the research group of Prof. Carsten Engelhard, University of Siegen, and will be supported by the DAAS, which is part of the Division of Analytical Chemistry in the German Chemical Society (Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker, GDCh).
Doctoral students will have the opportunity to present their current research results in the form of oral talks (held in German or English), but may also participate free of charge without active contribution. All doctoral students will benefit from numerous offers of support for young researchers and information on starting a career. The program will be completed by the possibility to interact with representatives from industry and federal research institutes, who will present their personal careers and highlight job perspectives in various companies.
We kindly ask for your submission of oral talks on the following topics (selection):
Elemental and speciation analysis
Geological and environmental analysis
Materials and surface analysis
Nanoparticles and microplastics analysis
Imaging methods
Isotopic dilution analysis
Stable isotopes and isotope analysis
Methods for solid state analysis / glow discharge
Quality assurance and reference materials
Instrumentation development
New plasma sources
Data processing, multivariate statistics
Industry 4.0
Spectroscopic methods (selection):
ICP-OES, ICP-MS, LA-ICP-MS, MIP-OES, AAS, AES, AFS, LIBS, LAMIS, µXRF, TOF-SIMS, IR/Raman micro spectroscopy, SERS, etc.
We are very much looking forward to your participation and encourage all young scientists, research group leaders and representatives from industry to join our event.
We thank all of the sponsors for their generous support of our seminar.
With kind regards
Carsten Engelhard and team
